Tune in at 8:00 PM ET for coverage of UFC on FOX 4. Rich Yang will be liveblogging for your enjoyment.
Welcome to “UFC on Fox: Shogun vs. Vera“! Tonight’s event is being held at the Staple Center in Los Angeles, California.
Zuffa is looking for an exciting show tonight coming off from the disappointing UFC 149. This card is more PPV worthy than the line up for UFC 149.
Mike Swick makes his return to the UFC after a long 30 month layoff.
@Sbwolf Hey buddy. Things are good. Hoping for an exciting night after a snoozefest UFC 149. How are things?
@mj Phil Davis' opponent Chad Griggs pulled out due to injury so the fight was pull all together.
Dana White has announce whoever has the most impressive win between Machida/Bader and Rua/Vera will get the next title shot. I can't say I'm too excited for that because Jones destroyed all four of them with ease. Unless Hendo pulls off an upset, then things could be interesting.
@Sbwolf Thanks yeah I missed that.
Tonight’s UFC on Fox: Shogun vs. Vera card rundown:
MIDDLEWEIGHT: Mike Swick vs. DaMarques Johnson
LIGHTWEIGHT: Joe Lauzon vs. Jamie Varner
CO-MAIN EVENT – LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Lyoto Machida vs. Ryan Bader
MAIN EVENT – LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Mauricio Rua vs. Brandon Vera
@Sbwolf That would definitely make more sense, since it wasn't too long ago with the exception of Vera when they all got smashed by Jones.
Coming up: Mike Swick vs. DaMarques Johnson
@Sbwolf Yeah he was cut, then Silva got busted for roids, so Zuffa overturned their decision to cut him. He would beat Marshall and now he might get a title shot. Right...
@CJ LOL this message only went up because I know you.
I'm really hoping this is going to be a good card. UFC 149 was pretty brutal to watch.

Swick lands a big right and rocks Johnson! Johnson is okay and recovers.
Swick is landing that right hand. Johnson needs to cover up better.
Johnson pressing the action and backs Swick off. Johnson takes Swick down.
