Tune in at 2:45 PM ET as Manchester United takes on CFR Cluj. Rob Sturney will be liveblogging for your enjoyment.
I'm Rob Sturney, here with the Score's continuing coverage of the Champions League. Today we have a Manchester United side that's already secured passage to the next stage after winning Group H hosting Romanian hopefuls CFR Cluj.
Cluj and Galatasaray are tied with 7 points in Group H, with the Railwaymen having a goal difference advantage of one goal.
Sir Alex is resting several key players today, but he's using Rooney to keep him sharp for the Manchester Derby on the weekend.
Lineups: Man United: De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Buttner, Wootton; Cleverley, Giggs, Powell; Welbeck, Rooney, Hernandez SUBS: Lindegaard, Rafael, Vermijl, Young, Scholes, Fletcher, Macheda
Cluj: Felgueiras, Cadu, Piccolo, Pinto, Rada; Alberto, Muresan, Carmora, Pedro; Sougou, Bastos
Powell and Wootton get rare starts for Manchester United. Ferguson is playing a 4-3-1-2 with Rooney playing just behind Chicharito and Welbeck. Anderson, Kagawa, Nani, Valencia and Vidic are all injured.
Cluj has had a weird ride in the UCL this year, not their first appearance in the European club competition: their coach Ioan Andone was sacked after a 1-1 draw with Galatasaray in which the Railwaymen completed on 51 passes. So ex-Hearts boss Paulo Sergio took over.
The Romanian team has a heavy Portuguese flavour to it. Coach Sergio, Felgueiras, Cadu, Pinto, Camora and Pedro all all Portuguese while Bastos and Alberto are Brazilian.
CFR Cluj has the most fouls in the UCL this year with 90.
They've played before in this season's competition. The Red Devils prevailed 2-1 in Romania.
While Man United leads the EPL, the Burgandy and White aren't having a great season in Romania's Liga I where they are 6th.
Among the starters for both teams, Hernandez has the most 2012 UCL goals for United with three. Pedro also has three for Cluj.
The question is whether Cluj can get a result at Old Trafford while hoping that Galatasaray fail away to Braga.
If Cluj doesn't go through, they'll still have the Europa League to look forward to.
Yes, I imagine that Wootton and Powell are pretty excited, especially Wootton.
Make sure to join my colleague David Esposto on Sunday morning for the Manchester Derby.
I'll be trying to keep you Chelsea and Celtic fans abreast of your teams' situations during the day.
We're not too far from the kickoff. Manchester United are in their traditional red jerseys and white shorts. De Gea seems to be clad in all blue. The Romanians are in their white jersey, black short away kit. Too bad they didn't go with the green. Felgueiras sports all yellow.
Jones will be playing right back.
OH! Cluj ARE in their green and red change kit. Very nice. United will be attacking from left to right in the first half. Left to right. Cluj kick us off.
1 min: United get a free kick right off the bat, but they try some cleverness that doesn't come off.
2 min: The Red Devil defense play the ball around slowly. United try to break through on the right but cannot.
3 min: Giggs tries a long ball for Rooney at the top of the Cluj box. Rooney can't pull it down. Here are the Romanians on the counter. Buttner fouls Pinto.
4 min: Free kick for the Railwaymen to the right of United's box.
4 min: The ball is swung in too low and rejected from the 18 box by Welbeck. Chance wasted there.
5 min: The atmosphere is muted, to say the least. I see empty seats at the moment. Here's Man United building deliberately from the back.
6 min: Hernandez turns smartly and finds Rooney on the right. Rooney crosses into a green shin and United will have a corner kick from the near flag.
6 min: Giggs meets Welbeck's head with the corner, but the England international can only find the side netting
7 min: Giggs cracks a long, low one up front. Result: Rooney's high shot doesn't bother Felgueiras. Down the other end Pinto threatens with a cross.
8 min: Smalling gives the ball away and then De Gea makes a stop that loops the ball high in the air. Rather dodgy there.
9 min: Cluj enjoy a corner kick that is spurned. Chicharito is fouled in the subsequent play. Some decent pressure from the Transylvanian team.
10 min: He's looking all right. He hasn't seen much of the ball. The pace is rather languid.
Rooney had a cross blocked and then tried a shot on net more placed than powered. He was lively on that sequence.
12 min: Rada throws in but Jones and Cleverley combine to extinguish the build up.
13 min: Bastos is prone after a sliding tackle by Giggs. Ouch. Giggs makes sure he's okay.
