Tune in at 2:45 PM ET as FC Schalke takes on Arsenal. Rob Sturney will be liveblogging for your enjoyment.
I'm Rob Sturney here with the Score's continuing coverage of the UEFA Champions League. Today we've got the second half of Arsenal and Schalke's "home-and-home" encounter. In London, the Gunners' flat attack saw Schalke win 2-0 behind goals from Huntelaar and Afellay.
Today, in Gelsenkirchen, Wenger's men need to get something going as they feel Olympiakos breathing down there neck.
Schalke lead Group B with 7 points, while Arsenal has 6 points in second place.
Lineups: Schalke: Unnerstall, Matip, Howedes, Uchida, Fuchs; Neustadter, Jones, Holtby, Farfan, Afellay; Huntelaar
Arsenal: Mannone, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Sagna; Arteta, Wilshire, Walcott, Cazorla; Podolski, Giroud
Huub Stevens keeps his line-up pretty much the same as a fortnight ago, with Holtby the midfield playmaker and Farfan and Afellay acting as wingers.
It's difficult to see whether or not Wenger is playing a 4-2-3-1. Wilshere gets a start, as does Giroud. Mertesacker and Sagna have come in for Santos and Jenkinson.
Both teams had unimpressive domestic results over the weekend. Arsenal lost 2-1 to Man United in a scoreline that flatters the Gunners. The Konigsblauen lost to Hoffenheim 3-2.
In two weeks, Schalke play Olympiakos and Arsenal play Montpellier.
Please be aware that our liveblogging platform is acting very peculiar today, folks.
Schalke sits in second place behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, while Arsenal are currently seventh in the EPL.
Arsenal sport their gold and burgundy change kits. Mannone wears all fuscia! Schalke wear their traditional blue jerseys and white shorts with Unnerstall clad in green.
Yes, I can see that the comments function is going to be all goofy today.
Ann, your comment just sits there spinning on and on, going nowhere.
Cazorla will tuck in just behind Giroud with Podolski on the right and Walcott on the left.
In the first half, Arsenal will be attacking from left to right on your screen or mental screen. Left to right. They'll kick us off too.
1 min: The first real chance falls to Schalke with Uchida able to cross dangerously from the right of Arsenal's box.
2 min: Schalke builds up slowly from the back with touches back and forth with Unnerstall. Huntelaar helps to work a move on the left, but the blue team is repelled.
Okay, hopefully things will be working smoother with the liveblogging platform.
The pink-clad Mannone kicks off, but Arsenal's movement into the Germans' final third are forced out.
5 min: Here's Wilshere as a pivot in the middle of an attack that sees Walcott dispossessed, and then on the counterattack Fuchs fires, but it's tipped wide. Corner for Schalke from the near flag.
6 min: The corner is grazed out, but Schalke keeps possession and pressure on the Arsenal back line.
7 min: Another short-lived attack from Arsenal and now Schalke resets itself for another sortie on the Londoners' area.
8 min: Walcott does well to come back and steal the ball from Fuchs. The gold-and-burgundy throw in.
9 min: Fuchs again is in the middle of the ruck. Arsenal reverse their free kick but Neustadter wins the ball. Afellay gets a left-footed crack on goal that Mannone must dive to his right to save.
10 min: The counterattack seems to be really sparkling for the Germans today. However, they also have the majority of possession, so they're not parking the bus.
11 min: As ever the Konigsblauen supporters are in fine voice. Sagna, playing at right back, throws in.
11 min: Sagna feeds Walcott, but the England international can't dance past three blue men. Schalke win a corner kick from the far flag.
12 min: Farfan to deliver the corner kick. OH! Howedes gets his cranium on it, but just flashes it over.
13 min: So far Arsenal looks pretty toothless. Let's see if they can get into their stride.
14 min: I think Olympiakos are three points behind, so it's not time to panic yet. The Gunners will certainly want to beat Montpellier in a fortnight.
Olympiakos leads Montpellier 1-0. Uchida got in a position to cut the ball back from the right side, but he couldn't keep the ball from rolling through the byline.
16 min: Wilshere makes a useful foray into the Schalke box and wins a corner from the near flag.
16 min: Wilshere is the target and Arsenal get another bite at the cherry. On the second corner Giroud tries to trap a bouncing ball, gets it to Podolski, but he's swamped and Unnerstall gets a chance to distribute it.
18 min: Here's some better play from Arsenal, but it ends with Giroud only knocking the ball onto the keeper in green.
18 min: GOOOOOOOOAAALLLLL! Walcott! It's that man Walcott!
