Tune in at 7:00 PM ET as the Canadiens take on the Maple Leafs. Gino Bottero will be liveblogging for your enjoyment.
Welcome everyone! I'll be live blogging tonight's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens.
The Leafs are 2-1-0 against the Canadiens this season.
The Leafs have lost back-to-back games on the road but have won 3 straight home games, allowing only 3 goals in those wins.
The Canadien have won 3 straight games overall, allowing only 4 goals.
Toronto forward Phil Kessel has 4 goals and 5 assists during his 4 game point streak.
Welcome, Optimus. Good Saturday for me. Hope all is well with you. It can only get better with the Leafs battling the rival Canadiens on on Hockey Day in Canada.
It is Mats Sundin night at the ACC as the former Leaf captain's number will be honoured.
Very quick turnaround from retirement to having his number honoured. If they were going to do it for anyone, I'm glad it's Mats.
I don't think we'll be seeing 13 goals in this one.
Darryl Boyce is active tonight. He is the only active Leaf to have played with Mats Sundin.
Reimer and Price get the nod tonight.
No Travis Moen for the Habs tonight.
No Colby Armstrong for the Leafs.
Mats Sundin is the 18th Leafs to have his number honoured.
Mats is the Leafs all time leader in goals (420), assists by a forward (567) and points (967).
It's unfortunate that he spent a lot of his time in Toronto with sub-par linemates, but he always seemed to make the most of them.
Lots going on at the CBC today.
The Leafs acquired Sundin in 1994 from the Nordiques in a trade that saw Wendel Clark shipped to Quebec.
He was drafted 1st overall by the Nordiques in 1989.
Nice ovation for Mats from the ACC crowd.
