Tune in on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM ET as the Toronto Raptors play host to the San Antonio Spurs. James Borbath will be live blogging for your enjoyment.
An update from that- All Raptors that our part of active roster will play tonight...meaning Bayless returns tonight and Barbosa will play after returning to the line-up last night.
We get rolling officially in about 5-7 minutes.
Ok Let's Roll the Raptors as bad as they have been surprisingly are 4-4 vs the West at the ACC.
The Spurs are on the their annual Rodeo Trip and so far so good with a 3-1 record in this 9 game road swing they are currently on.
There two teams already met in San Antonio this year and the Spurs won 104-95 and DeJaun Blair dominated the paint and Manu went crazy as Demar DeRozan countered with I believe his career high 28 in the loss.
Matt Bonner "The Red Rocket" and former Raptor returns to the Spurs Line-up tonight. He has been out with some knee soreness.
He was let out of the 3-point Shootout despite the best efforts of our guys from The Basketball Jones who made a video to help him try to get into the event.
He is and likely always will be one of the favourites of Raptors fans.
So if you have any thoughts before this one gets rolling chime in now.
Raptors are coming in off a very disappointing road effort in Milwaukee last night. It was as J.R from WWE use to say...BOWLING SHOE UGLY. Now the Raps get the best team in the NBA.
Spurs have best record in the league at 43-8.
So buckle up for this one and if the Raptors don't have their A game this could be a long night for them.
It could be the Spurs are very good...A week from tonight it will be VERY DIFFERENT.
Raptors only managed 74 points last night 2nd lowest total of the season and against a Spurs team that is better on D than the Bucks it could be a very long night.
This is a tough 4 game home stand for Raptors starts tonight with Spurs then Blazers with maybe Brandon Roy back, Clippers with that Blake Griffin guy then a week from tonight Chris Bosh returns to Toronto.
I will be liveblogging that on here on The Score from a party in Toronto should be fun. No party tonight though just cuddled up here at home.
Intros are done time to play some ball.
Spurs have had same starting line-up for 51 games so situation normal for them.
Raps have Jose. Demar, Sonny, Amir and Andrea.
Time to TIP IT UP IN THE T-DOT!!!
Spurs win the tip and off we go.
Shot does not fall for Spurs and an empty first trip for them.
DeRozan's jumper is on fire of late makes it and Raps lead 2-0.
Duncan high off window does not fall. Bargnani a miss on the other end.
Foul on Jose Calderon a non shooting affair.
Timmy!!! With the J for 2.
Bargnani fumbles the ball out of bounds with the turnover for the Raps.
Tony Parker makes them pay with the runner.
Sonny Weems off to a good start nails one...but Parker scores again and it is 6-4 Spiurs.
Amir from Jose for 2...Duncan the answer for 2 and it is 8-6 and a fast pace.
Teams trade misses and Bargnani hits to even it up and 8.
Blair the score and he owned the Raps last time these two met....10-8 Spurs.
Parker crashes to the floor and will head to the line on the foul call....check that no shots for that.
Manu hits and Spurs lead 12-8.
Bargs scores and I agree this is scoring feast so far.
Pop has seen enough of this...calls a time out with his team on top 12-10.
