Tune in on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM ET as the Toronto Raptors play host to the Boston Celtics in the NBA. James Borbath will be live blogging for your enjoyment.
Happy New Year....Raptor Fans and NBA Fans. The banged up Raps against the less banged up Celtics.
Raptors are without. Evans and Peja....along with No Weems, Bayless and Bargnani.
K.G is definitely out but Rondo may play and if he does Jose Calderon is in TROUBLE!!!
Raptors got a career high 37 from DeRozan the only player to start every game for the Raps this season.
Rondo is dressed and I would suspect he will go and start.
Boston has lost 2 in a row heading into this one that rarely happens for the Celtics.
Raps have a quick pit stop at home for this game before returning to the road. Their latest road trip they were 1-2 with a surprising win over Dallas with no Dirk and losses to Memphis and Houston.
Raptors were 35-46 in the calender year of 2010. This is game 1 for them of 2011.
A strange 6pm start time at the ACC for this one and an expected sellout crowd for a team that is 11-21
Boston is 24-7 and 11-5 on the road one of those road loses is here in Toronto.
Any thoughts from you let's here them as Tip Time approaches at the ACC.
Totally agree with that. Rondo is what makes the C's go and that loss in Toronto C's had K.G but they didn't have Rondo....tonight flip that and think it is advantage Boston.
Rondo has owned Calderon as well in their match-ups over the years and with no Bayless backing up Jose it could be a long night.
I am not even sure I would like their chances with him.
Raps are taking applications if you have a jump shot you have a shot to be a Raptor if they have any more people go down.
Raps have played with a ton of heart despite the injuries but that will only get you so far.
I always want the Raps to win seeing as I cover them in the Dino Nation Blog...but I realistic about it their chances are slim in this one.
DeRozan needs to repeat what he did at Houston....DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE!!!
He also needs to improve his D and checking Ray Allen will be a great challenge for him.
Allen has had some big games in the last 2 years matched up against DeRozan.
As they say anything can happen on any given Sunday but the Raptors will be in tough tonight.
He will also have to run a lot more or D with checking Allen taking away some of his energy but he is young he has a lot of energy to burn.
More like a lesser version of cross between T-Mac and Vince.
The injured altered line-up remains with Dorsey and Kleiza starting with Jose, Amir and Demar.
He is a hard worker and still young don't write him off just yet.
No but were on basic cable in most places in Canada.
Excellent 2nd round pick for C's....like Blair is for Spurs as I said in my preview today.
Boston win the tip...and were off.
