Welcome to a Re-Match of opening night between the Raptors and Knicks. It was New York with the win. But did you know even with that win they are 5-18 playing at the Air Canada Centre all-time? Raptors have been playing well and so have the Knicks. Should be a fun one so are you ready for this one?
Like the stat I just mentioned Knicks have a hard time getting wins here.
Raptors come in off an impressive win over OKC that granted were minus Durant but the Raps have wins over Boston and Orlando on the road as well.
Was in the house for that win over OKC and Bargnani and Calderon were good and the Young Onez(Sonny, Demar and Amir) sparked a 3rd Qtr comeback.
Raps have won 5 of their last 6 at the ACC (L to Atlanta)
Knicks come in on their own 3 game winning streak as well.
Peja is out for the Raps for the 4th straight game with a knee swelling.
Had a chance to meet Jerryd Bayless prior to the OKC game this kid really is excited to be a part of the Raptors and maybe the Raptors have finally found balance in their point guard universe.
In about 10 minutes it will be.
Key to today's game might be the Raptors Perimeter defence as the Knicks average close to 9 makes from 3 point land a game.
It has always been an issue for the Raptors it seems like forever.
As for the Knicks they need to win the rebounding battle and push the pace although Raptors don't mind running as well.
If Raptors our serious about being a playoff team a game like today is VITAL in that effort.
Not sure I agree on THE BIG part....but history is on the side of the Raptors and the fact they are playing great ball of late especially at the ACC...winners of 5 of 6 as I mentioned earlier.

Can Bargnani continue to be a factor on the glass coming off a rare double double for him.

Barbosa was huge off the bench with 22 in Raps last game....did Hedo EVER get 22 as a Rap? Good Trade.
Landry Fields was the rookie of the month....I joked in the blog Landry who? but he has been very good have him on a fantasy team....But that being said....DeRozan needs to own this rook today.

It is Canada Basketball day at the ACC today....always want to see Canada do well at ball be it Raps or the National Team.
ACC is all decorated for Christmas...as someone reminded me today...20 days to Santa...But just moments from Tip time in the T-Dot.
A Nash and Bayless back court short term would be very nice.
