Tune in at 8:30 PM ET as the Knicks take on the Spurs. James Herbert will be liveblogging for your enjoyment.
Happy Thursday, everybody.
We have the teams with the two best records in the league tonight.
Didn't expect to be saying that about the Knicks in mid-November, but here we are. They're 5-0 and the Spurs are 7-1.
San Antonio has won its last three.
Just about set for tipoff.
Knicks starters: Jason Kidd, Raymond Felton, Ronnie Brewer, Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler
Spurs starters: Tony Parker, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard, DeJuan Blair, Tim Duncan
Oh, the Spurs made a last minute change in the starting lineup. Blair instead of Diaw.
Carmelo is guarding Blair right now.
First possession, Danny Green makes an easy layup to put the Spurs on the board.
Anthony misses a midrange jumper on the left side over Blair. Knicks get the o-board and Felton nails a three.
I can't believe Blair and Anthony is a real-life matchup.
Green gets wide open AGAIN and hits another layup.
Felton misses a jumper, Green gets the rebound and the Spurs go the other way.
Leonard open for a three in the right corner, no good over Chandler.
Chandler misses a 16-foot jumper outside of the right elbow.
Blair can't score inside on an awkward attempt, Chandler gets the board.
Kidd misses a three, rebound to Duncan.
Green is short on a three off the dribble, rebounded by Kidd.
Felton makes an 18 foot jumper over Leonard.
Two and a half minutes into the first quarter.
Felton and Green have all of the points.
Green misses a corner three.
Kidd makes a spot up three in transition.
I hope this pace keeps up.
Wonder if the old Knicks feel the same way, hah.
Duncan makes a 17 foot jumper on the left side.
Felton sets up Brewer for a corner three, no good. Rebound Parker.
Both teams are shooting 3-for-7.
Leonard drives and misses a layup. Blair gets the o-board, then finds Leonard with a nice interior pass and Leonard scores on a floater.
@Dloc541 Pretty aggressive on that possession!
Leonard makes the free throw, Spurs up 9-8.
