Tune in at 7:30 PM ET as the Heat take on the Hawks. James Herbert will be liveblogging for your enjoyment.
Hey everybody. Good Eastern Conference matchup tonight, and I'm hoping I get the Atlanta feed so I can hear T.I. do color commentary.
Dwyane Wade is sitting this one out with a cold.
Damn, I have the Heat feed. No T.I.
Yeah, it'll be fun to see what numbers he puts up with the additional touches.
@m33 Not hurt though, thankfully. Under the weather.
Heat starters: Mario Chalmers, Mike Miller, Shane Battier, LeBron James, Chris Bosh
Hawks starters: Jeff Teague, DeShawn Stevenson, Kyle Korver, Josh Smith, Al Horford
We are moments away from tip here.
I like how Spo kept Ray Allen with the bench unit.
Will be interesting to see what Mike Miller can give, he's been pretty much limited to garbage time so far.
First possession, Smith finds Korver open for a corner three. No good, though.
He doesn't miss many of those.
James gets a step on Josh Smith going right to left and he finishes with an easy layup on the Heat's first possession.
A pass from Teague is deflected out of bounds by James. 11:14 on the clock in the first. Heat up 2-0.
Hawks swing it around on the perimeter and Smith takes a contested corner three. Korver gets the long rebound, fouled by James.
Not sure I love seeing Smith take a contested three, but alright.
Teague sets up Smith for an open 18 foot jumper from the top of the key. He makes that one.
Chalmers gets into the middle, misses a floater. Horford with the board.
Teague sets up Smith for the exact same jumper that he had on that last play, it's good again.
Josh Smith 4, LeBron James 2. That's all the scoring.
Chalmers gets to the hole and makes a layup.
Korver misses a long two, Horford gets the board and kicks it back to Korver for a three. He makes this one.
Chalmers gets to the hole and has his layup rejected by Teague.
They get tangled up after the play underneath the basket and we have double-technical fouls on the two point guards.
That was kind of funny/weird, the ball went the other way and they were just playing 4-on-4.
Horford faces up Bosh on the left side, he then posts him up and drives right and makes a hook. Looked easy. Probably wasn't easy. Hawks up 9-4.
Hawks have started 4-for-7, Heat 2-for-4.
Battier's pass to LeBron James on the perimeter is mishandled and goes out of bounds.
Alley-oop from Teague to Horford, perfect lob pass there. Hawks up 11-4.
James guarded by Josh Smith, he holds the ball forever and then swishes a long two. Wow.
Smith didn't do anything wrong, James is just good.
