Tune in on Friday night at 7:00 PM ET as the Milwaukee Bucks try to avoid a third straight loss at the Air Canada Centre while the Toronto Raptors look to end a nine-game skid. Gino Bottero will be live blogging for your enjoyment.
Welcome everyone! I'll be live blogging this game between the Toronto Raptors and the Milwaukee Bucks. They'll throw the ball up at 7:00 PM ET.
The Raptors are in danger of losing 10 in a row for the first time since March 26-April 12, 2006. A loss would also mark Toronto's first 0-5 stretch at the ACC since that same timeframe.
Matt Devlin's wearing a bright red blazer! I'm all for style, but that's just bad.
The Raptor's record of hitting atleast one three-pointer in an NBA record 986 straight games ended with an 0-13 performance from three on Monday vs. the Grizzlies.
Trey Johnson made his much anticipated Raptor debut Wednesday. He began anew three-point streak for the Raps, connecting on a triple half-way throught the second quarter. That make represented the D-League's leading scorer's only points in his first game as a Raptor.
Andrea Bargnani and DeMar DeRozan have combined for 100 points in the first two games of this three-game homestand. DeRo is averaging 25.2 PPG over his last six games overall.
Milwaukee enters shooting an NBA-worst 42.3 percent from the field, leading to only 91.2 PPG, also the lowest in the league.
TSN2 is covering the game.
The Raps need to improve defensively. PJ Carlesimo was brought in for that reason. He was great as a Spurs assistant. Hopefully some of that magic will finally start to rub off.
He's looked great of late. I didn't think he'd be able to hit from outside as consistently as he has been lately.
The Raps have been short-handed due to injuries lately and its shown. They've played well out of the gate and then struggled after the 1stQ. They're getting healthier. We'll see if they can put together 48 mins tonight.
Raps starters- Amir Johnson, Julian Wright, Andrea Bargnani, DeMar DeRozan, Jose Calderon
Bucks Starters- Dooling, Douglas-Roberts, Maggette, Ilyasova, Bogut.
The entire team needs to start playing some defense.
Game's underway. Bucks win the tip.
Bogut's an under-rated passer from the post. Found CDR in the corner but he couldn't knock it down.
The centers open the scoring. Bargnani then Bogut with 2 apiece.
Maggette falls hard into a camera-man off the drive. The Bucks can't lose another scorer with Jennings on the sideline.
Amir powers through for a slam on the and-1.
Amir converts. Maggette attacks the basket for 2 on the other end.
Maggette hits a long jumper witha toe on the line.
DeRo with a nice dish to the trailer, Julian Wright who lays it in in transition.
Amir showing some range as he hits from near the top of the key.
9-6 Raps with 8:00 to go in Q1.
Dooling scores after Bogut extends the possession with an offensive board.
Toronto's offense looks a lot more organized with Jose back in the line-up.
Maggette with 2 more. Raps need to figure out a way to keep him out of the lane.
He was a high pick and is still very young. He's looked good of late, and if he can keep hitting that jumper consistently he can be a very solid player.
Dooling hits 1 of 2 from the stripe.
Bucks continue to attack the basket. Ilyasova will shoot 2.
Ilyasova hits both. Calderon takes it on his own for the lay-in at the other end.
Bogut with an easy finish on a nice entry pass. Bargnani did nothing to stop him. Leads to a Toronto timeout.
Bucks lead 15-11. 4:58 left in Q1.
There are worse things than guys who can score, Btrain.
