Tune in at 7:49 PM ET for coverage of the Coke Zero 400. Scott Johnson will be liveblogging for your enjoyment.
What's going on everyone, welcome to Daytona! I'll be with you all night, liveblogging the Coke Zero 400.
Big news, AJ Allmendinger will NOT be racing tonight, he failed a random drug test, so Sam Hornish will be replacing him in the 22 car.
Kenny Wallace is Hornish's backup driver, but Hornish just tweeted and said that he just landed in Daytona and should be ready to go.
@Jon TNT if you're in the US, TSN if you're in Canada.
@Dimitry This is a track where anyone can win, I have my money on Kenseth.
Bobby Bowden on the engine command: "Drivers, start your dadgum engines!"
@Dimitry Dega or Daytona?
@Dimitry I was thinking about the 2011 crash with 17 cars in Daytona, not 'Dega.
@mathis43 Not ruling out anybody in this race to be honest.
@Brian Connolly Hey Brian, I think just a fine... no suspension.
@mathis43 He did. It did, he was wearing Harvick's uniform and Allmendinger's helmet, but he made it.
@Dimitry Oh that was back in the day! I thought you meant recently. That was 1997 if I'm not mistaken.
@mathis43 It looks like it, can't tell from where I am. Will confirm when I hear.
@Daniel Yup, Sportsman 250 in which 37 cars crashed in turn four in the first lap (out of a starting field of 68).
Green flag folks we are underway
1/160 laps - Matt Kenseth is your leader after the first lap, Biffle right behind him.
@Dunes girl Stewart had an open cooling hose found under the cockpit.
3/160 laps - Kenseth still your leader on the inside line, Montoya leading the outside line, but he's in 9th spot. Inside line the more popular choice right now.
Folks, there will be plenty of lead changes tonight, so I will try my best to update the leaderboard when I can. This is a busy race.
@jabba A lot of talk about the Allmendinger suspension, I'll get into it when this race slows down, or is there is a caution.
