The Sox send out ROCCO BALDELLI with the lefty Sabathia on the hill and Jacoby Ellsbury nursing an injury. This game is officially now worth watching!!

The Brad Penny Tradebait Express pulls into Fenway station tonight, looking to rebound for a career of disappointment
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:00:31 PM
Penny's strikeouts are down this year but so are his walks. Keep staving off the scrapheap Bradley! Every time I've seen him this year he's been hit HARD but somehow escaped unscathed. The Yankees won't be so kind
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:02:20 PM
CC Sabathia's numbers are down across the board this year thanks to his not pitching in the ongoing, sick joke that is the National League Central. He's been much better in May and June but nowhere here his 2008 numbers.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:03:41 PM
K/BB rate down to 2.26 from the otherworldy 4.25
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:04:23 PM
So what do we think: can CC earn his check and beat the Red Sox? If he can't, it'll be a long year in front of the patient and understanding Yankee fans.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:05:17 PM
This game isn't broadcast in HD at my house because BUYER BEWARE. The Extra Innings package isn't all it seems.

Re: the Heineken commercial I just watched. Find me a cab driver that knows the words to any Biz Markie songs and I'll find you a man in the wrong line of work.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:08:49 PM
Forecast calls for occasional showers? These two teams don't need any help playing intermidbly long baseball games.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:09:44 PM
Penny's seen his fastball get knocked around this season but his curveball's been hit even harder. Mark Teixeira can't wait to get into the box.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:11:10 PM
Derek Jeter leads off to a chorus of boos. First pitch is a ball low and away. HERE WE GO!
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:11:35 PM
Penny's a hefty dude, unfortunately that means he'll pitch forever.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:12:28 PM
Jeter waits on a curveball and bangs it up the middle for a base hit. Nice piece of hitting by the leadoff hero. One on for Johnny Damon. He hears the boos
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:13:45 PM
Jeter's off and running with the first pitch and slides headfirst into the bag-safe by a mile. Put that one on Penny
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:14:14 PM
Ken Singleton notes Jeter's already got more steals this year than all of 2008
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:14:43 PM
Damon lines the ball directly to Youkilis at first base. He tries to double Jeter off but the Captain is TOO DAMN SMART
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:15:14 PM
SH, I saw Penny get pounded by the Blue Jays all over the yard. They just seemed to hit stuff right at people. He's a ticking timebomb
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:16:04 PM
Teixeira hears some half-hearted boos as he hits a hard grounder to Pedroia. The MVP stays with it and gets the second out at first base.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:16:46 PM
Rodriquez is up with a runner on third base. He REALLY hears the boos. That's some pure hatred.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:17:07 PM
A Rod's slumping for A Rod. He still walks like three times a day.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:17:27 PM
Penny plunks Rodriquez in the tricep much to delight of the Fenway Faithful
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:18:31 PM
The umpires are meeting to discuss the beaning. Penny tried to hit Rodriquez with the first pitch and missed.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:19:03 PM
Both benches have been warned now. Expect a high scoring game!
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:20:34 PM
Cano steps in with runners on the corners and two out.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:20:49 PM
The umpires have great insight to the inner workers of greaseball Penny's mind.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:21:19 PM
Cano falls behind 0-2
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:21:31 PM
Four innings of decent pitching does not a good outing, or pitcher, make.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:22:47 PM
Anybody can be Cy Young the first time through the lineup
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:23:09 PM
ohhhhh, the fake to third, look to first move didn't work. I'm shocked.
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:23:26 PM
Cano's making some really defensive swings here. He's still behind 0-2
by LloydtheBarber at 6/11/2009 11:23:48 PM
