Preamble: Welcome to The Score's ongoing coverage of the 2012 European Championships. Today/tonight/whenever wherever you may be, we have potentially the most lopsided Euro quarterfinal in the history of the competition.
Well, I don't really want to go that far but this is pretty unbalanced on both paper and in performance. The Germans, the tournament favorites by many, look to book a place in the semifinals against the resilience Greeks, who sneaked into the knockout round on the final day of the group stage with a 1-0 win over Russia.
You know, Greece was in a similar position eight years ago. And, yeah, we all know how that unfolded. Don't write off the Ethniki. -
Team sheets

Greece (4-2-3-1)

Changes are afoot: The biggest news coming out of the respective locker rooms is the changes made to the German team by manager Joachim Löw. He's changed his entire front three for this match, drafting in Miroslav Klose, Marco Reus and André Schürrle.
What does this mean? Well, it means traditional favorites Lukas Podolski and Thomas Muller are relegated to the bench. So, too, is top goal scorer Mario Gomez.
It's an interesting, and somewhat risky, decision. Then again, this is the depth of quality Germany possesses. They must be the most talent laden team in the tournament. -

8min: I find it rather funny that many are lambasting Low for the changes he's made to the German side. I mean, Reus was only voted the best player in the Bundesliga last season, Klose is a German legend and Schurrle, well, he's only scored seven goals in 15 caps for the national team. Not fit to where the shirt, eh? -
