Tune in at 12:30 PM ET as Manchester City takes on Swansea. Rob Sturney will be liveblogging for your enjoyment.
I'm Rob Sturney here with The Score's ongoing coverage of the EPL. Today we have Manchester City, their Champions League hopes scuttled, hosting Swansea.
I hope some of you watched the Fulham v Reading game this morning - it had a frenetic ending. 3-3 was the tally. Arsenal broke through late to beat QPR. This is the late game of the day.
Mancini is using Kolarov in the midfield today and Kolarov's compatriot Nastasic at centre-back.
Lineups: Man City (4-2-3-1): Hart, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy, Richards; Y. Touré, Barry, Tevez, Kolarov, Nasri; Aguero
Swansea (4-3-3): Vorm, Flores, WIlliams, Rangel, Davies; De Guzman, Ki, Britton; Dyer, Michu, Routledge
So Mancini has the Citizens in a 4-2-3-1 with Aguero at the tip of the spear. Will he try a 3-man back line if things go pear-shaped?
Laudrup has a good attacking set-up with 6-goal Michu as the target man. Dyer gets the call over Hernandez up front today.
Mancini's team sits 3rd in the table with 18 points. He's missing Garcia, Maicon, Silva, Zabaleta, Rodwell through injury and Milner through suspension.
Laudrup's Jacks are 10th with 11 points. He'll be missing Bartley and Taylor on the visit to Etihad.
Man City has three EPL wins on the trot versus Fulham, Sunderland and WBA. The Swans lost to Stoke, drew with Reading and beat Wigan in their last three.
Any score predictions out there?
Man City face West Ham next and Swansea have Liverpool on the horizon.
Yes, being buried in the Champions League relatively early in the competition does not bode well for him.
I hope the weather is not too wretched where you are. A special shout out to the folks in the path of Hurricane Sandy - stay safe. Just two inches of snow here in New Hazelton, British Columbia, Canada.
Tevez has three goals and three assist so far this season.
Dzeko is the substitute king this year, for sure.
I'm seeing from one source that it's Pablo Hernandez in the front row for the Jacks, not Dyer. We'll see which lineup is correct.
We're not too far off the start in Manchester's Etihad Stadium.
The Citizens are wearing their sky blue jerseys and white shorts. Joe Hart looks to be in all green.
I think the Swans are in their all white centenary kit with gold trim. It's going to be a bit tough to tell the team apart. Too bad Swansea didn't go with their "Welsh flag" change kit.
Hmm. Looks like Tevez at the point of the spear. And it IS Pablo Hernandez up front for the Jacks, not Dyer. Thanks, The Guardian.
Good spot, Sam! I haven't the foggiest. Maybe he likes to wear gloves during the warmup and then takes them off once he gets sweaty? Maybe he's a germaphobe!
Hey, the yellow ball has arrived. On my screen Man City is attacking from right to left in the first half. Right to left. They also get us underway.
1 min: Yes, right away I can see the two uniforms are just a little too close. Just a little. That Swans change kit is attractive too.
2 min: The teams take time getting into a rhythm as they feel each other out.
Now here's Nasri in the far corner creating concern.
3 min: Barry acts as the hinge in the middle of the park. The Citizens' foray is spurned and then Michu helps to dispossess Kolarov.
4 min: Toure reverses play to Clichy. Vorm clouts it downfield and Routledge tries to release De Guzman to no avail.
Nil-nil, Sam. Can you not see it at the top of the column? We have had some glitches in the system, so I wouldn't be shocked.
