2 mins: Silva lays the ball off for Tevez and he presses the play down the left flank, good defensive play by Wilshere to force a corner from the left. Silva to deliver... It bounces in the area and its cleared away, but City still on the attack. Zabaleta though plays a poor ball and Szczesny clears the ball away.

4 mins: Arsenal on the attack now, as Sagna tries a cross into the area, but its too flat and City clear easily. Milner then is fouled by Diaby in the City final third and the visitors have a defensive free kick. Hart to take, as he sends a booming kick into the Arsenal half.

6 mins: Wilshere on the ball in the centre of the pitch, he tries to play a through ball into the area but City cut it out, good early back and forth battle this. Cazorla then works the ball out wide to the left for Sagna, as the Gunners then switch flanks, but the Ox is blocked out by Tevez, who clears and City start on the attack.

9 mins: CITY PENALTY! KOSCIELNY SEES RED! The ball is played through on goal and Koscielny puts his arm around Dzeko and brings him to the ground. Referee Mike Dean shows the Arsenal defender red! Oh my what drama! Arsenal down to 10 men!

10 mins: OH MY! Dzeko steps up to take and its saved by Szczesny! The Bosnian has a shot and it hits off the Polish keeper and comes back off the post, bounces on the line and back into the grasp of the Arsenal keeper! Upon further review, the ball DID NOT cross the line! Such drama just 10 minutes in!

16 mins: Arsenal on the attack now, down the right. Cazorla plays it off to Sagna and he crosses, but it takes a deflection off the arm of Clichy, as Arsenal have a corner, from the right. Wilshere delivers to the far post and Hart punches away. It comes out to Walcott but his shot is well high and over the net. Not the best bit of goalkeeping from the England number one.

17 mins: Gibbs does well to put pressure on Zabaleta as Arsenal have a throw deep in the City half, but Mike Dean whistles the play dead, as Wilshere is down injured following a challenge from Garcia, who came down on the leg of Wilshere, stud first. No malicious intent though.
Wilshere is back up on his feet now, after a brief delay. Cazorla plays the ball back to City and here we go again. -

30 mins: Tevez tries to play a lofting ball over the top for Zabaleta but its cut out by Arsenal. City continue to apply pressure though, as Zabaleta does well to win the ball from Gibbs. Milner then crosses into the area and Tevez stretches out to get a foot on it, Szczesny gets a touch on it but he can't collect...

38 mins: City on the ball now, probing down the right. They switch flanks now, and are leaving Arsenal to chase the ball. But the Gunners come away with it as Podolski makes a strong run down the left flank. He crosses into the area, but its cleared by City, only momentarily though.
